LIME-LOGO

Lime International is a company that I’ve been developing for an educational product. I decided to go back to Illustrator and this unit because of the progress in my professional conceptualization. I look at design from a different perspective. It needs to be aesthetically functional in order to be reproduced on multiple mediums.

Lime International will provide training resources for ESL teachers across the globe. The audience is ESL directors and HR managers at educational institutions around the world. I decided to go back and redesign the logo for global recognition and not a specified country.

I improved the logo by subtly changing the font from Berlin Sans to Bell MT. It appears smoother.  I decide to have one font for both Lime and International. I changed lettering to a darker blue. I then changed the graphic shape. Removing the map layer, outline layers and incorporated an elliptical with a 10-pt. stroke width style of 1. I applied a gradient to the elliptical shape. I reused the lime segments, cleaned up the lines with the curve pen tool and applied opacity from 95-50 on the various segments.

I believe the graphic still represents a lime. However, it can be resized and recolored while still retaining the brand identity.
